Have you tired coconut water before? I hadn’t until recently and I have to say I am pretty impressed. Here’s the truth…I hate drinking plain ole water! There you go…confession time…I said it out loud. I tell my patients all the time to drink more water and yet there I am only drinking water when I’m working out OR worse yet already dehydrated and I am downing it when it’s already too late. And then along came coconut water. I was lucky to be chosen as a brand ambassador for ZICO coconut water. Nine years after he founded a company that is passionate about healthy and active living his brand is recognizable on store shelves internationally. The company asked me to try their product and see what I thought. So, I received my first little package from ZICO which included a nifty little lunch bag and 3 flavours (original, chocolate and latte) in their 414mL bottle and a ZICO original in their 330mL tetra (like a drinking box). I was excited to try out all three flavours but like a typical girl I think I was more excited that it all matched my outfit that day!
I used the original coconut water in my smoothie the next morning instead of plain water and it was fabulous!! It changed the texture of my smoothie a little bit and made it definitely more enjoyable. This was an easy change to make and given the benefits that ZICO provides why not start my day with a little extra kick start!?
